HP has invited me (thanks Calvin) to HP Discover EMEA that will be held in a beautiful snow-covered Vienna next week.
I will join a group of influencers and bloggers from all over the world (you can see the whole list here), it will be great to meet new friends and catch up with old acquaintances 🙂
Discover is surely the greatest HP event ever held to date, it encompasses all the Hewlett Packard ecosystem, from consumer products to mission-critical solutions, from the printing department to the enterprise storage market.
Enrico covered the US event this summer, that focused heavily on the webOS side, now that the Touchpad is a thing of the past, webOS has almost ceased development and there’s a new CEO in charge, it’s going to be interesting to see how HP will refocus its strategy on the mobile and the consumer market.
Likewise it will be interesting to see how 3Par has progressed after the acquisition, now that the first HP branded version has been released (P10000) and it’s now clearly positioned as the first choice for enterprise, non-mainframe, deployments for HP.
