You’re probably already familiar with TECH.unplugged. It is a one day event focused on cloud computing and IT infrastructure. Its innovative formula combines a group of independent, insightful and well-known bloggers with disruptive technology vendors and end users who manage rich technology environments.
The first edition was held in the UK last spring and we are now planning a second date in Amsterdam on the 24th of September.

Since I launched the new date, a few weeks ago, a lot of things have happened and I wanted to give you an update about what you can expect if you will be joining us for a day full of content and opportunities to share opinions and ideas with other peers.

Location

The event will be held at The Holiday Inn (De Boelenlaan 2,1083 HJ Amsterdam), We have chosen this location because it is very easy to reach by car as well as by public transportation. If you plan to stay in this hotel, don’t book the room yet. We’ve asked for a special rate for the night of the 23rd. I’ll have an update for you on this as soon as I get confirmation.

Influencers

I had to make some small changes regarding the blogger line-up, in fact both our friends Chris Wahl and Hans De Leenheer have joined vendors… And they are no longer independent. I’m very happy for them, but the basic idea behind this event is to provide independent content and so the agenda had to be changed.

Fortunately, other bloggers have taken their place and we will have an off-the-chart line-up for this event:
Arjan Timmerman – @Arjantim
Chris Evans – @Chrismevans
Chris Mellor – @Chris_Mellor
Enrico Signoretti – @esignoretti
Howard Marks – @deepstoragenet
Martin Glassborow – @Storagebod
Nigel Poulton – @NigelPoulton
Tom Hollingsworth – @Networkingnerd
Viktor van den Berg – @Viktoriousss

The Agenda

The agenda is almost complete. And you can get an idea of what will be going on by following this link. We will be talking about Storage, Hyper-convergence, Containers, Virtualization, Automation, Cloud and Software-defined Networking… trying to cover all the hot topics of modern IT infrastructures!

Collateral events

ITWT-channel-logo-1022x1020And that’s not all! On the 23rd we’ll be having a beer tweet-up (#storagebeers). We still don’t have a location, but it will be in a pub in Amsterdam. I’ll keep you posted on this, plans are still in the making for this!

Nigel, Rick, Gabriel and Marc are also planning to record a live episode of their great “In Tech We Trust” podcast during the event (here the link to their feed, in case you have missed it!!!). I suggested doing it during one of the open panels or the night before… we’ll see! But, in any case, it will be a lot of fun!

Sponsors
