In just a week TECHunplugged will take place in Amsterdam. Agenda is ready, influencers are readying their sessions and we are working on last details to repeat the success of last TECHunplugged editions!
First of all, in case you missed it, TECHunplugged is a 1-day conference focused on the latest technology trends and how these technologies can be adopted by Real World IT. The format is very simple, with subject matter experts presenting what they see in the field followed by vendors bringing their point of view. The goal is to bring together end users, influencers and vendors for a day of education, information and peer-to-peer networking.

The influencer line-up for this TECHunplugged edition is amazing and this week I will be introducing the second influencer: Nigel Poulton.
Nigel is a popular figure in the tech industry, renowned for his love of deep technical knowledge. He writes a popular long-running technology blog as well as hosting the popular “In Tech We Trust” weekly podcast, both known for their excellent treatment of technical topics. Nigel has worked in technology for 15 years with nearly 10 of those years spent designing and managing solutions in some of the most demanding corporate IT environments in the world. Nigel has worked his way up from changing tapes and resetting passwords to designing resilient, high performance, petabyte scale solutions. He also owns and manages production technology environments, predominantly in the financial services sector. Nigel is currently working on container technologies including Docker and he recently published a fantastic book on the topic, here the link.
