Last week, during the HP Discover event, I found myself playing with a, soon to be released, HP TouchPad and a couple of next generation Pre mobile phones.
My first impressions were pretty good but I still have some perplexities on the hardware side (it looks like a plastic and thicker version of iPad 1) and I saw a few OS latencies during some operations (but the HP representative said that’s due to pre-release software installed on the devices… we will see).
Actually, besides usability and user experience, I’m very curious to see if HP will succeed emulating its principal competitors (Apple, Google) by bringing a full credible ecosystem to the market and driving the interest of many developers.
